Celebration

In the short years of my existence on earth I have discovered there are many everyday moments you can celebrate. For example: getting a great deal on a box of cereal, spending $6 on a yummy 16 inch pizza, destroying the ants that invaded my apartment.

But of them all I think my favorite is the day that comes about once a year when I can fit my short hair back into a pony tail which I accomplished today!!! This may break Mikey's heart a little but not having my hair in stuck in my mouth, eye lashes and not touching my face is well worth the heart ache I think.

Note: Baby is very active now a days and loves to kick me in the ribs. Not so cool but sometimes when it stretches it tickles:)

What We Do

Mike and I just got back from one of our favorite Saturday activities. Saturday Sam's Club Sample day. It goes like this. Mike and I go to Sam's Club (today we walked cause the weather was lovely and baby needs the exercise) with the purpose of eating. We walk through hitting all the sample stands that have goodies ready. Then we use my gift card from work to get some pizza/nathan's dog and a pop. But on days like this were the food is plentiful we share a nathan's dog (ketchup and onion's on the whole with mustard on my half and red pepper flakes on Mike's half) get the first soda for me then refill it with what Mike wants. Then we go hit the rest of the sample stands we missed the first go round then leave Sam's Club with full bellies and thankful hearts. It's quite possibly one of my favorite things that we do. It's our Sam's Club Saturday Date:) This tradition may never die.

Funny Story

Mom informed me in either December or January that she would be bringing me home in April for a baby shower. So, Thursday I call Mom to discuss baby showerness and she says to me, "What baby shower?" (I remind her about previous Dec/Jan discussion) "Oh, that was supposed to be a surprise." Silly Mom. How can it be a surprise if thats the reason I'm coming home in the first place.

Then I call my sister Anneli today and mention something about April and the baby shower to which she replies, "What baby shower?" I explain about silly Mom and she says, "Oh, that was supposed to be a surprise."

Then I call sister Amanda to talk to her about baby shower and I tell her what happened and she said she was talking to Anneli and she was also told it was a surprise. So, everyone but Amanda and I thought it was a surprise except that Mom told me about it months ago. Further more, If I was just coming over to visit in April, being seven and a half months pregnant, I would expect to have a shower so it couldn't be a surprise anyway. My family has to be a lot sneakier than that to pull a fast one on me:) Silly Mom. Tricks are for kids!

Spring Fun

It was 70 degrees here yesterday so Mikey and I went outside to do one of my favorite activities. Playing catch. I've been looking forward to it for the past several weeks, just had to wait for it to get warm enough. So we through back and forth for about 10 minutes when I blinked and missed the ball which hit me in the thigh. And just like that Mikey put an end to our softball throwing days till the babies born. Apparently he can't trust me to protect my stomach.

I'm going to be a lone woman from Thursday to Sunday this week as Mike will be spending the rest of his Spring Break in DC and Maryland with his brother Rob and our buddy Brian Stock who we lovingly refer to as B. I will be eating as much mac and cheese as I want while the man is away.

I've come to discover that sleeping while pregnant is hard. I'm almost to the point where I can't sleep on my back which is my fave position and staying asleep past 3am has proved difficult. It's all the more harder cause Mikey has discovered the comforts of sleeping with his arm on my head. I love that Mikey but I'm going to stop being so gentle when I move his arm.

Fun Things: Baby can hear now and sometimes Mike cups his mouth on the belly and makes noise so baby will move:)
