So I'm a little camera crazy right now cause our babies just so dang cute but I figured you would all appreciate it since most of you haven't met her yet.

I can't decide if she looks like a Koala or a beetle clinging to Mike but I love it!!!!!

This is for my mom. She bought this outfit for Mike before we knew what her gender was:) She did have a 50% chance of guessing right.

A Beginning

Last night was our first night home with baby Ruth. Mike and I passed the day away trading her back and forth and back and forth and just getting a kick out of all the funny faces she pulls. We also constantly comment on how cute she is, she's such a good baby, yada yada yada. We're basically just in love with her from her long toes that could rival Quin's up to her awesomely dark cap of hair.

Then bedtime hit......duh Duh DUH! At 2am this child would not go to sleep. She kept spitting up and burping and would not settle down. How could she betray us like this? I thought she might be to hot so I took off her cloths. I thought she would do well with a pacifier for comfort but it kept getting knocked out by her hands. I tried tying her hands up in the blanket. Maybe rocking her to sleep will help. Maybe if I walk around. Maybe if I rub her belly and talk to her..........maybe, what if, should I try? All these things were going through my head and nothing was working and both Mike and I were exhausted. I said several prayers asking for help in trying to figure out what her needs were and how I could help her.

Finally even though it hadn't been very long since her last feeding I doubled her bottle from 2oz to 4oz, used a different nipple so she would swallow less air and I fed her till she wouldn't eat anymore, which was practically all 4oz. wrapped her up and put her in her car seat in front of the fan. It was like I put her in a coma. She slept from 4:30 am till 8:30am this morning which gave me enough sleep to smile at mt baby and give her loves when she woke up.

I'm so thankful that my prayers were answered and Ruth went to sleep. The first night was rough but it ended in triumph. Hopefully Mike and I will get better and better at this but I know it's only going to be with Heavenly Father and The Lord's help.

The story doesn't end there though. When I changed her pants this morning she pooped her diaper right after I snapped her onsie. The clean one hadn't even been on 1 minute.......evil trickster.

They both look so good. This baby is 7 lbs and has hairy shoulders just the way we like 'em.

We are heading to the hospital in 30 minutes:) The baby will make it's appearance tomorrow morning. And it looks like my dad-in-law Lyle won the Date Contest.

Father's Day

Today the Primary kids sang "I'm So Glad When Daddy Come's Home" in Sacrement Meeting for the dads and while all the older kids were barely mumbling the words and not smiling our Sunbeam Class did pretty well. Especially a little boy named Jack who new every single word of the song, sang it at the top of his lungs and blew a huge kiss right at the end. It was so awesome!!!!!!!!

Also, Mike got his first Father's Day candy bar:)

The Latest and Greatest

Today we (Mike went with me as my fire power) went to the OBGYN to talk them into inducing before the two weeks late mark hit. Can you believe they were seriously going to let me go that far over my due date? The babies head is down and pretty much in the prime position but I still haven't dilated at all.

Anywho, it worked:) My due date is Monday and we will be going in on Wednesday night to have medicine applied then we'll stay at the hospital and have it Thursday morning. That's if I don't have it before then. Also, I'm calling Monday morning and if anyone had their babies over the weekend that were supposed to be induced Tuesday I can be bumped up to Monday night and have the midget on Tuesday morning? All things considered I'm so glad to now have a sure day in my head instead of this crazy unsure waiting. Plus I'm so relieved I won't be pregnant for a couple more weeks. Phew.

I love the 4th of July. It's right up there with Thanksgiving and Christmas in my book.

Funny!!

So today I went swimming at the Apartment pool. I set my stuff down and got ready for a refreshing swim. When I went to the pool 5 kids one by one stopped playing and stared at me open mouthed. Apparently they hadn't seen a pregnant women in a swimming suit before:) I calmly got in the water and they continued to stare:) So they all slowly go about their business but one kid looked at me and said, "Do you have a baby?", "Yes it's going to come out soon.", " I have a little brother.", "Really. How old is he?", "18 months." Then he swam away. Awesome.

I'm still pregnant. I cramp fairly often especially at night when I want to be asleep:) I walk everyday or stand a lot. I baked for several hours yesterday to no affect. I also clean the house every evening so if I do go into labor the house is clean when I get home. I also do it so Heavenly Father will know we are ready to go.

This morning I took cookies and cake to the Team Meeting at work which was the last thing on the list of things I wanted to do before the midget arrives so truly we are now ready.

Mike wants me to drink Castor Oil today:( I looked it up and it sounds really unpleasant. It causes all sorts of stuff like intestinal cramping.......yay.

I officially started nesting today. I set up the babies bed and other furniture. Put all the bathroom stuff in the bathroom, spoons and bottles and what not will be washed tonight and all the baby clothes/blankets are in the wash. I'm also going shopping today for diapers and a few misc. things. I'm hoping that since everything will be ready to go Heavenly Father will see we are prepared and I will have this baby TONIGHT!!!!!!!! But I won't hold my breath:)
